Keep Quiet When You’re In a Customer’s Home

Personal problems are no excuse for being late for an appointment, or worse, telling the customers what your problems are or what your complaints are. People who go into other people’s homes to work for a service should keep quiet. In fact, they shouldn’t discuss politics, religion, or even TV shows. You can always stick to the weather.

You are there to perform a service, not to engage in debate or in some sort of entertainment. When you’re in a customer’s home, be courteous and answer their questions, and say as little as possible. You know, be the strong, silent type.
